WHO ARE WE?
We are Melisa and Juan Carlos, the founders of Coco Ocean Adventures, and we share a deep passion for the ocean and aquatic adventures. Juan Carlos, with over 12 years of experience as a diving instructor and a strong love for fishing, has made Playas del Coco his home. As for me, with more than 20 years of experience in administration and customer service, I always dreamed of starting a business together.
At Coco Ocean Adventures, we not only offer diving lessons but also exciting diving tours, as well as snorkeling trips and excursions that end with the breathtaking sunsets of the Costa Rican Pacific. LOCAL DIVING - PLAYAS DEL COCO
We will arrive in less than 15 minutes at over 20 premier scuba diving spots in the Gulf of Papagayo, conducting 2 recreational dives at different locations. Experience incredible changes in water temperature and visibility in the Pacific. Extreme thermoclines are often present, which are common conditions that can be difficult to predict. However, these changes enhance the abundance and diversity of marine life, making our expedition even more exciting. Please note that 2 dives may not be sufficient to fully explore the underwater wonders.

DIVING - LAS CATALINAS
One of the best coastal diving areas in Costa Rica is the Catalinas Islands. Get ready to experience an abundance of marine life around more than 10 different dive sites. These islands are famous for sightings of giant Pacific manta rays, typically observed from December to May; as well as eagle rays, devil rays, cow-nose rays, turtles, dolphins, moray eels, and massive schools of jacks. If you want to witness the songs of the whales, the months of August and September are the best times to visit.

DIVE - ISLAS MURCIELAGO
The Murciélago Islands archipelago is a stunning paradise known for its vibrant marine ecosystem and exhilarating diving experiences with bull sharks. Our adventure begins at Playas del Coco, where we'll set sail for an unforgettable journey. In just 1.5 hours, we’ll reach this beautiful archipelago, home to diverse marine life and breathtaking underwater landscapes. From June to October, conditions are ideal for visiting Santa Rosa National Park, making it the perfect time for your dive. An Advanced Diving certification is required, along with the last dive logged no more than 12 months ago. Join us for an extraordinary diving adventure in one of Costa Rica's most captivating destinations!
